Smoked Gouda, Arugula and Roasted Red Pepper Grilled Cheese Recipe

  • 2 slices Sara Lee® Artesano® Bakery Bread
  • 2 slices Smoked Gouda cheese, very thinly sliced
  • 2 slices Muenster cheese
  • 1 small jar roasted red peppers, sliced
  • 1 cup arugula, stems trimmed
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened


  1. On a single slice of bread, layer one slice of Gouda, one slice of Muenster, arugula and sliced red peppers. Add the other two slices of cheese. Place other bread slice on top. Spread butter on both sides of the sandwich.
  2. In a medium skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter on medium heat. Place the sandwich in the skillet and cover for 2-3 minutes, until the bread is golden brown. Turn the sandwich over and cover until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
