Banh Mi Hot Dog Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 Sara Lee® Artesano™ Sausage Rolls
  • 2 hot dogs, grilled
  • 1 large cucumber, sliced and seeded
  • ½ cup hoisin sauce
  • ½ cup Sriracha mayo
  • 2 jalapeños, seeded and sliced
  • Fresh cilantro
  • Carrot & Daikon Slaw (recipe follows)
  • Carrot & Daikon Slaw Ingredients:
  • 1 cup daikon, julienned
  • 1 cup carrots, julienned
  • Salt
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ½ cup white vinegar
  • 1 cup of water

Directions

  1. Make the Carrot & Daikon Slaw. Combine daikon, carrots, a pinch of salt, sugar, white vinegar, and water in a small bowl. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Place a grilled hot dog in each roll. Tuck cucumber slices in with the hot dog. Drizzle hoisin sauce on each hot dog. Top with desired amount of Sriracha mayo, Carrot & Daikon Slaw, jalapeño rounds, and cilantro.
